We had a long, cold, very snowy, winter this year. We are 2/10 of an inch from breaking the areas all time record for snowfall. I am not sure what the final official number was, but it was greater than 165 inches. Our normal average is closer to 66 inches. One local ski hill stayed open till last weekend. The first time in history that you could ski in June here.
Today, the 10th day of June, we have a snow advisory...
SNOW! In June.
It might still be possible to break the record!
When Nathan got dressed today, he asked for long sleeves. It is cold still but I put all the winter coats, hats and gloves away over the weekend. It is June after all. Geesh.

vacation!
Only a week till vacation! I have been looking forward to this trip for a while. The boys are even counting down now. We get off the plane in Atlanta at about 3:00 next Thursday, if everything goes the way it should. Then we get our car and find Aunt Trish! We haven't seen her in a very long time. I think the last time was when we were in Atlanta Nathan was 13 months old. This will be Xander's first time meeting her. The next day we drive to Charlotte and then Saturday on to the beach.
Xander had his first birthday at the same beach we will be going to this month. We got to watch a loggerhead turtle hatch the day after he turned 1. Nathan still remembers that and he was only 3 1/2 at that time. This year we are going at the end of the season that the turtles lay their eggs. It will be very cool to see a turtle come to shore. I think we will likely miss it, with our luck...
Katy, I know it is a long way from WV, but it is closer than we are now! There is an extra room at the beach house if you want to come down for a day or two. Email me and I'll give you our schedule!
Happy June! Krista.
