I hear you!

OK. I hear you. I don't post enough. I wish I could post more but I just don't have the time. I have put it on my calendar to make time to do it once a week. So I will try harder. Once school starts it may become easier as we will actually have a schedule again.

So I will try harder, but I am not making any promises..... (Aunt Tricia!).

; )

Day with Nana

Xander the Pirate!

Xander at the park

Special lunch with Nana!

Can you believe this guy is old enough for kindergarten now? Nana got Xander out of day care recently to spend the day with just him. He was delighted to have a special day without his big brother. They did all kinds of fun things. They had lunch at his favorite fast food place (I think he likes the playland there the most*). They went to the dollar store, which is a huge treat! They went to a local park to play and see the river. And they went to the library. It was a very busy day and he had a special time with his Nana. (I think my Mom liked it as much as Xander did!).

* aside: When we were in North Carolina this summer the kids were astounded to see outside playlands! It was a huge treat for them to play on a McDonald's playland that is actually OUTSIDE! The sun was high and the plastic was hot, but they didn't care one iota!

How old is that car?

Aaron and I had a "your so old" moment the other day. I thought I'd share it.

The neighbors boys, who are 15 and 13, are getting a car to fix up. The older boy is old enough for his drivers license. He was telling us about this car they are looking at. There isn't much wrong with it, just needs a tune up and maybe new tires. It is so old though.... It still has one of those "tape thingy's" in it.

And he wasn't talking about an 8-track! He was talking about cassette tapes. The car is a 1989 Impala.

Wow.
