Germany!!!

We are in Germany!!  This is my 4th trip here and I still love it.  I love the people, and the scenery, and the history.  It's wonderful here.  I've been very lucky.  If my brother in law and sister in law ever decide to move back to the states I'll be sad for having lost family to visit here (but at the same time glad to have them just a little closer).

To be perfectly accurate we are in Austria at the moment.  We are staying just over the border.  We have spent half of each day in each country so far.  More or less.

Yesterday we hiked the mountain to Neuschweinstein castle.  It's the second time I've made that hike.  This time was surprisingly easier... I must be doing something right.  The last time we were here it was the middle of winter and it was a white fairy tale land outside.  This time it's HOT and stilll just as much a fairy tale.  It's absolutly beautiful.

Today we let the kids swim in an alpine lake.  It was the color of the sea in the Carribean.  A color that you don't expect to see in real life.  The kids were all just happy to get wet and cool off.  We also stopped at a man made waterfall on the side of the road to let the kids play.  We all ended up soaked after that stop!  It was amazing.  I hope to be able to post some pictures.

Wifi here is iffy.  We don't always have it.  And when we do it's only in the lobby.  So I'm typing now in the dark while the kids are sleeping.  I don't know when I'll be able to post again.  (also spellcheck doesn't work because the internet assunes I'm typing in German.  I type to fast and don't proof well.  there are a lot of mistakes...i'm not mentioning the wine I'm drinking as I type...)

Kirsti should be here tonight.  I'm so excited to see her!  It's been close to 20 years.  More like 18, but it sounds so dramatic to say "it's been 20 years!"

Savannah is a doll!  She talks and talks to us.  In German.  We get some of it.  Once in a while she throws in an English word.  She had become tired of us asking her to speak in English.  If we ask she just repeats what we say "English please.. english bitte".  Nothing stops her from speaking to her cousins!!  Pete and Repete are her only cousins and she is eating it up!!!  Henry is cute as can be.  He always seems surprised.  He contantly says "Oh!!" and points to things.  It's pretty fun to be around them both...

Hope I can get on once more before we move to our next desitnation, but not holding my breath for that.

I'll try to get some pics up too!!
