Whirlwind season

It's been a whirlwind of a holiday season already, and its barely started.  The boys and I flew down to the Boise area to visit my sister and her family for Thanksgiving. Mom and Dad drove down and met us there.  Anna made a wonderful thanksgiving dinner and then we made the traditional leftover meals of hot open face turkey sandwiches the day after TG and turkey tamales on the weekend. They were all great!  Dennis took the kids to see a movie. He's a brave man hearding 5 cousins along. He took them to Jump Time as well (trampoline park). While he was out with the kids the moms went to get a pedicure. I can't tell you how much I needed that.
Dad flew to the next adventure from Boise and the boys and I drove back home with Mom. I was home one day and then headed to Reno for the Northwest Mining Association Annual Meeting and Convention (this is where dad was as well).  It was a really good convention for my company this year. And if half the people who said they want to buy our stuff actually do it, it will be a really really good one. :) the work doesn't end when we get home from a gig like this. There is lots of follow up still.
I arrive back home on Friday to bitter cold. It's in the single digits and below. BELOW.  I kept plenty busy over the weekend, but the house is still not ready for Christmas. It was too cold for me to get excited about getting a tree or even going to the garage for the nutcrackers.  This week it should warm up a little.  Maybe ill be able to tackle those projects a little at a time.
I went to my first Christmas party of the season last night. It was a lot of fun!  I work with some great people and we have a highly amusing gift exchange. :)
I expect the rest of the season to be more relaxed. After I get the decorations out anyway. Until then I still feel rushed. I hope everyone else is having a fun season!
Merry Christmas!
